Police Seek Public’s Help in Identifying Carjacking Suspects in Bethesda

Detectives from the Montgomery County Police Major Crimes Division - Robbery Section are investigating a carjacking that occurred overnight in Bethesda.

This morning at approximately 12:09 a.m., 2nd District officers responded to the 7-Eleven, located at 5112 River Road in Bethesda, for the report of a carjacking.

The preliminary investigation revealed that the victim parked his vehicle in the parking lot of the 7-Eleven, went inside the store, and made a purchase. When the victim left the store, he attempted to get in his vehicle and was assaulted by three suspects. The suspects obtained the victim’s keys and all three suspects got in the victim’s vehicle. The suspects fled in the vehicle.

The victim’s vehicle is a red 2006 Mazda 3 with Maryland registration 1CYP49.
