Leggett Sponsors Public Forums on the FY08 Operating Budget; Residents Can Also Provi

Montgomery County Executive Isiah Leggett is sponsoring five budget forums throughout the County scheduled over the next several weeks in January to seek input from residents about Fiscal Year 2008 Operating Budget priorities. All sessions are open to residents from any part of the County.
“I want a County government that is responsive, accountable, and effective, and to accomplish that, I need to hear from County residents,” said Leggett. “This gives folks an opportunity to tell me what’s important to them prior to my presentation of the budget to the County Council on March 15.”
The forums are scheduled for:
• January 16, 7 p.m., Crossway Community, Inc., 3015 Upton Drive, Kensington.
• January 16, 7:30 p.m., Bethesda-Chevy Chase Regional Services Center, 4805 Edgemoor Lane, 2nd Floor Conference Room, Bethesda.
