Detectives from the Montgomery County Police Major Crimes Division – Homicide/Sex Section are investigating a shooting incident that occurred this morning in Damascus.
Detective D. Woolsey, an 18 year veteran, from the Montgomery County Police Major Crimes Division – Robbery Section was investigating a home invasion robbery that occurred on Sunday, May 6, in the 8200 block of Brink Road in Gaithersburg. In the robbery, two suspects, wearing masks and armed with handguns, forced their way into the victim’s home. The victim was beaten and tied up. The suspects obtained the victim’s cell phone, prescription medication, and cash. The victim was flown to an area hospital for treatment of a chest injury, head and facial trauma.
Today at approximately 6:53 a.m., 5th District officers responded to the call for “officer needs assistance” in the 26000 block of Cornor Drive in Damascus.
