Default Rockville City Weekly Crime Summary May 27, 2012

Rockville City Police Department
Police Crime Report

For the Week ending May 27, 2012

Tips of the Week:

With the Summer Season fast approaching, many residents may be planning to leave the area to go on vacation, the Rockville City Police Department would like to remind residents that in planning for that family get away, to make sure they also take a few minutes to plan for their home’s security.

A few simple tips include:
  • Installing timers on lighting in different rooms to simulate that someone is home;
  • Having your mail held and your newspaper cancelled or having a neighbor or friend stop by daily to pick them up;
  • Having someone to stop by and check on your home regularly while your away;
  • Having a neighbor park in your driveway
These are just some of the simple, inexpensive ways that can be used in protecting your home’s security while you are away on vacation.

Help us in the fight against crime, by not becoming a victim.
