D1 Beat: Four thefts from vehicles occurred overnight from Tuesday, 4/24 to Wednesday, 4/25 in the same neighborhood in Chevy Chase Village, Chevy Chase. A fifth event was reported during the following night (from Wednesday, 4/25 to Thursday, 4/26) in the same general vicinity. No signs of forced entry were noted in any of the events. Loose items (cash, food) were reported taken. Incidents occurred on Lynnhurst St., Freyman Drive, Grafton Street, and Center Street. D2 Beat: A theft occurred in the 7400 block of Wisconsin Avenue, Bethesda on Wednesday, 4/25 at 5:30 p.m. The suspect obtained property from the victim. A theft from a construction site occurred in the 7500 block of Fairfax Road, Bethesda sometime between the afternoon of Tuesday, 4/24 and the morning of Wednesday, 4/25. Construction materials were taken. Graffiti was painted on a retaining wall at Our Lady of Lourdes church, 7500 Pearl Street, Bethesda sometime between Tuesday, 4/24 and Thursday, 4/26. D3 Beat: A residential burglary occurred in the 2800 block of Decatur Avenue, Kensington overnight from Thursday, 4/26 to Friday, 4/27. Forced entry; property taken. E1 Beat: No significant activity to report. E2 Beat: No significant activity to report. E3 Beat: Three thefts from vehicles occurred at Montgomery Mall, 7100 Democracy Boulevard, Bethesda this week. Two incidents involved parked, unlocked vehicles; a GPS and a laptop were taken. The third event involved a stolen side mirror. E4 Beat: A commercial burglary occurred in the 11400 block of Rockville Pike, North Bethesda overnight from Thursday, 4/26 to Friday, 4/28. Unforced entry; property taken. A residential burglary occurred in the 5700 block of Balsam Grove Court, North Bethesda on Friday, 4/27 at approximately 4:30 a.m. Unforced entry; property taken. |
