Olney Library Kiosk at Longwood Community Center Begins Operations March 31

Customers of the Olney Library, which is currently closed for major renovations, will be able to check out current materials and return borrowed materials beginning March 31 when the new kiosk library service (MCPL Express @ Olney) becomes available at the Longwood Community Center at 19300 Georgia Ave. By mid-April, customers also will be able to pick up holds.

The kiosk service is made up of four elements:
• Lending Library Kiosk with adult fiction and nonfiction, CD books, children’s fiction books, picture books and beginner reader books;
• Media Box Kiosk with DVDs for adults and children;
• Book Return; and
• Holds Lockers (coming mid-April).

The kiosks will operate Monday-Thursday, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.; Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and will be closed on Friday and Sunday.
