Police Seek Public’s Help in Identifying Burglary Suspects

Detectives from the 4th District Investigative Section are investigating a residential burglary that occurred on January 27 in the 1800 block of Snowdrop Lane in Silver Spring.
On January 27 at approximately 12:18 p.m., 4th District officers responded to a residence in the 1800 block of Snowdrop Lane for the report of a burglary that occurred earlier. The homeowner returned home and discovered that an unknown suspect(s) had broken into the home. Preliminary investigation by officers on scene revealed that the suspect(s) gained entry to the home through an unlocked window and removed property, to include a credit card.
Detectives obtained video surveillance of a male and female suspect using the victim’s credit card at a Silver Spring business shortly after the burglary. The black male, who has short hair, is seen wearing a tan jacket and blue jeans. The black male can be seen pushing a baby stroller. The black female, who has red hair, is wearing a black and white, striped jacket.
These burglary suspects may be responsible for up to 13 burglaries that have occurred since January 27 in the upper portion of the county between the Georgia Avenue and New Hampshire Avenue corridors. These burglaries appear to target people of Asian and Indian descent and jewelry is taken in these burglaries.
Police are releasing photos and video surveillance of the suspects and are asking that anyone who recognizes these suspects or has information about this burglary call the 4th District Investigative Section at 240-773-5530. Crime Solvers will pay a cash reward of up to $1,000 for information provided to them that leads to an arrest and/or indictment for this felony crime.
