J1 Beat:

• A strong-arm robbery occurred in the 17800 block of Hidden Garden Lane, Ashton on Wednesday, 12/28 at 11:25 p.m. The suspect assaulted the victim and attempted to remove property.
Suspect: Hispanic male, 20-25, 5’9”-5’10”, long black hair;

• A commercial burglary occurred at the Family Market Beer and Wine, 15430 New Hampshire Avenue, Silver Spring on Saturday, 12/31 between 4:40 a.m. and 5:10 a.m. Forced entry; property taken.

• A burglary occurred at Drew Elementary, 1200 Swingingdale Dive, Silver Spring on Sunday, 1/1 at 2:44 a.m. Forced entry; nothing taken.

• An attempted residential burglary occurred in the 2200 block of Greenery lane, Silver Spring between Saturday, 12/31 at 10:00 p.m. and Sunday, 1/1 at 1:30 a.m. Forced entry; nothing taken.


J2 Beat:

• A residential burglary occurred in the 100 block of Ashton Knolls Lane, Ashton on Wednesday, 12/28 between 1:55 p.m. and 6:05 p.m. Forced entry; property taken.


K1 Beat:

• Five thefts from vehicles occurred in different neighborhoods off Bel Pre Road and Layhill Road on different days during the week. Only unlocked vehicles were entered. Wallets and purses were targeted. Affected streets included: the 1700 block of Gayfields Drive, 13800 block of North Gate Lane, 2300 block of Cold Meadow Way, 2400 block of Copper Mountain Terrace and the 1700 block of Flint Hill Road,


K2 Beat:

• An attempted armed robbery occurred in the 3300 block of Weller Road, Silver Spring on Friday, 12/30 at 8:00 p.m. The suspects assaulted the victim and obtained property.
Arrested: Hispanic male, 16, from Silver Spring; Hispanic male, 15, from North Kensington; Hispanic male, 16, from Silver Spring.

• An armed robbery occurred at Randolph Road and Goodhill Road, Wheaton on Friday, 12/30 at 9:30 p.m. The suspects threatened the victim with a weapon and obtained property.
Suspects: two black males, each 18-25, 6’, 150-170.


L1 Beat:

• A vehicle theft occurred on Wednesday, 12/29 on Georgian Woods Place, Wheaton. A Mitsubishi
Arrested: male, 15 years, from Wheaton.

• An aggravated assault occurred in the 3400 block of Floral Street, Silver Spring on Saturday, 12/31 at 3:00 p.m. The suspect is known to the victim.
Arrested: male, 41, from Silver Spring.

• A residential burglary occurred in the 12100 block of Foley Street, Silver Spring on Thursday, 12/29 between 10:30 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. Forced entry; property taken.


L2 Beat:

• A residential burglary occurred in the 11000 bock of Burnley Terrace, Silver Spring on Monday, 12/26 between 2:00 p.m. and 8:07 p.m. No sign of forced entry. Property taken.

• A residential burglary occurred in the 10700 block of Huntley Avenue, Silver Spring on Friday, 12/30 between 10:00 a.m. and 3:08 p.m. Forced entry; property taken.
