Rockville City Hall to Close January 16
for Martin Luther King Jr. Day
Recycling and Refuse Will Not be Collected; Parking Fees Will be Lifted
ROCKVILLE, Md., January 10, 2012 - Rockville City Hall will be closed on Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Monday, Jan. 16, and many Rockville facilities and programs will operate on a limited schedule.
Parking fees at City-owned meters will be suspended on Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
All residents will have their recycling and refuse collection day shifted to the following day. Friday collection will be made on Saturday. Call 240-314-8568 for more information or visit

The following list outlines City of Rockville facilities and programs that will be closed or will not operate:
- Rockville Senior Center will be closed.
- Rockville Civic Center Park offices will be closed.
- All City of Rockville sports practices and programs will not take place.
- The Glenview Mansion and the Glenview Mansion Art Gallery will be closed.
- The F. Scott Fitzgerald Theatre and Box Office will be closed.
The following list outlines schedules for the remaining City facilities and programs:
- Twinbrook Community Recreation Center will be open 6 a.m.-9:30 p.m.
- Lincoln Park Community Center will be open 9 a.m.-9:30 p.m.
- Thomas Farm Community Center is open 6 a.m.-9:30 p.m.
- Croydon Creek Nature Center will be open 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
- Rockville Swim and Fitness Center will be open regular hours.
- RedGate Municipal Golf Course will be open, weather permitting.
