Photography, Painting Showcased at Glenview Gallery in January
Rockville, Md., Dec. 30, 2011 - Residents and visitors looking for an art fix during the coming month should stop by the Glenview Mansion Art Gallery at Rockville Civic Center Park. Black and white and color photography and painting will be on display at the gallery, 603 Edmonston Drive, Sunday, Jan. 8, to Tuesday, Jan. 31.
Joseph Giitter's photography and Mary Kay Kinnish's photography will be featured along with Melissa Miller's oil and acrylics paintings.
The show will open with a free community reception Sunday, Jan. 8, 1:30-3:30. Carol Bullock Finch, in character as "Minerva," will perform show tunes and dreamy songs beginning at 2 p.m.
Admission to the gallery is free. Gallery hours are Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 9 a.m.-4:30 p.m.; Tuesday and Thursday, 9 a.m.-9 p.m.; and closed official City holidays. Glenview Mansion Art Gallery is wheelchair accessible.
The Glenview Mansion Art Gallery is housed on the second floor of the historic 19th-century mansion. The gallery hosts monthly exhibits featuring the work of Rockville visual artists and performing groups.
