County Executive Isiah Leggett will attend Montgomery County’s first Homeless Resource Day to observe first-hand the variety of programs and services offered for residents experiencing homelessness. More than 30 organizations will offer a range of resources for homeless residents, including free medical screenings, legal services, financial counseling, tax assistance, substance abuse and mental health counseling and social services.

In addition, free haircuts and pedicures will be offered and attendees can learn about shelter resources and apply for Motor Vehicle Administration identification cards. Transportation will be provided from several shelters and from the Bethesda, Rockville and Silver Spring metro stations.
