A residential burglary occurred in the 500 block of Thayer Avenue, Silver Spring on Thursday, 9/15 between 2:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. Forced entry; property taken.
An attempted residential burglary occurred on Thursday, 9/15 between 7:00 a.m. and 8:00 a.m. in the 9400 block of Curran Road, Silver Spring. Attempted forced entry; nothing taken.
An armed robbery occurred in a parking lot in the 8600 block of Piney Branch Road, Silver Spring on Tuesday 9/13 at 5:30 a.m. The suspect threatened the victim with a weapon and obtained property.
Suspect: H/M, 55, 150 lbs, wearing a dark mask, and dark clothing.
An assault/robbery occurred in the 600 block of University Boulevard East, Silver Spring on Thursday, 9/15 at 2:45 a.m. An adult male advised that he was assaulted & property was taken from him by two unknown suspects.
A residential burglary occurred in the 8700 block of Carroll Avenue, Silver Spring on Saturday, 9/17 between 4:15 p.m. and 4:40 p.m. Unknown entry; property taken.
An armed robbery occurred in the 1400 block of Hampshire West Court, Silver Spring on Friday, 9/16 at 9:00 p.m. The suspects threatened the victim with a weapon and obtained property.
Suspects: B/M, 30-40 years, 58, black shirt, blue jeans; B/F, 13 years, wearing a white hoody and jeans.
Seven thefts from vehicles occurred between Monday, 9/12 and Saturday, 9/17 in this Silver Spring beat during the late evening to early morning hours. Some of the vehicles were broken into and in the remainder, it appears as if the doors were left unlocked. A GPS unit, cash and a cell phone were taken. Streets affected included Lorain Avenue (2 incidents), Woodmoor Circle (2 incidents), Kerwin Road. Loxford Terrace and Williamsburg Drive.

A robbery/assault occurred at a bus stop at Old Columbia Pike and Briggs Chaney Road, Fairland on Saturday, 9/17 at 12:30 a.m. The suspects assaulted the victim and removed property.
Suspects: (6) B/Ms, 20-25 years of age, 59, 6, 160-200 lbs.
An aggravated assault occurred in the 13800 block of Castle Boulevard, Silver Spring on Friday, 9/16 at 11:14 p.m. The victim was assaulted by an unknown male suspect who was armed with a weapon.
A residential burglary occurred on Tuesday, 9/20 between 8:30 a.m. and 7:56 p.m. in the 14100 block of Aldora Circle. Forced entry; property taken.
An attempted residential burglary occurred on Monday, 9/19 between 12:30 p.m. and 12:50 p.m. in the 3500 block of Childress Terrace. Attempted forced entry; nothing taken.
A residential burglary occurred on Wednesday, 9/14 between 8:30 a.m. and 7:13 p.m. in the 14300 block of Beaker Court. No forced entry; property taken.
