A2 Beat: An attempted purse snatching occurred in the 2100 block of Lewis Avenue, Rockville on Tuesday, 8/23 at 10:22 p.m. The effort failed and the suspect fled on foot. Suspect: H/M, 18-25 yrs. old, 58-59, medium build, long straight hair on top, short hair on sides, rounded rectangular glasses, dark shirt, jeans. A theft from a vehicle occurred in the parking lot of the Family Market, 420 Lincoln Street, Rockville on Saturday, 8/20 at 12:20 p.m. Forced entry; property taken. Suspect: B/M, 15-17 yrs. old, 53, 140 lbs., white T-shirt, blue jeans. A vehicle theft occurred behind Sheilas Bakery, 2098 Veirs Mill Road, Rockville on Friday, 8/19 between 9:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. A sexual assault occurred at Ardennes Avenue & Halpine Road, Rockville on Tuesday, 8/23 at 12:01 a.m. The adult female victim was touched inappropriately. Suspect: H/M, 30 yrs. old, 180-190 lbs., black curly hair, rectangular glasses, dark shirt, jeans. An indecent exposure incident occurred at Rothgeb Drive & E. Gude Drive, Rockville on Wednesday, 8/17 at 3:15 p.m. Arrested: Male, 24 yrs. old, of no fixed address. A3 Beat: An aggravated assault occurred in the 200 block of N. Van Buren Street, Rockville on Saturday, 8/20 at 6:45 p.m. The suspect threatened the victim with a weapon and was arrested. Arrested: Female, 24 yrs. old, from Gaithersburg. Three commercial burglaries occurred at 51 Monroe Street, Rockville between Thursday, 8/18 and Friday, 8/19. There was no sign of forced entry into the main building or into the individual suites.
A theft occurred at Quality Car Services, LTD, 210 N. Stonestreet Avenue, Rockville between 5:00 p.m. on Monday, 8/22 and 7:30 a.m. on Tuesday, 8/23. Property was taken from an outside area. Three vehicle thefts, all of the same vehicle a 00 Kawasaki Mule ATV, occurred at Montgomery County College, 51 Mannakee Street, Rockville. The vehicle was stolen between Monday, 8/15 and Tuesday, 8/16; recovered that same day; then stolen again between Tuesday, 8/16 and Wednesday, 8/17 and recovered on 8/17. On Thursday, 8/18 at 1:25 a.m. security saw the suspects tampering with the vehicle and they were arrested. Arrested: Male, 16 yrs. old, from Rockville; Arrested: Male, 15 yrs. old, from Germantown. A vehicle theft occurred in the 700 block of First Street, Rockville sometime between Wednesday, 8/17 and Monday, 8/22. A4 Beat: Several graffiti incidents occurred in the area of Baederwood Lane and Bee Bee Drive, Redland between 7:30 p.m. on Monday, 8/22 and 6:30 a.m. on Tuesday, 8/23. B1 Beat: An attempted armed robbery/assault occurred at the Twinbrook Metro, 1700 Chapman Avenue, Rockville on Sunday, 8/21 at 4:30 p.m. The suspects assaulted the victim and attempted to remove property. Both were arrested nearby by Metro PD. Arrested: Male, 14 yrs. old, from Silver Spring; Arrested: Male, 14 yrs. old, from Silver Spring. A robbery occurred at The Capital One Bank, 101 Halpine Road, Rockville on Saturday, 8/20 at 9:55 a.m. Suspect: B/M, 63-65, mustache, dark blue NY Yankees baseball cap, black hooded Polo windbreaker, blue jeans. A commercial burglary occurred at Premiere Realty, 751 Rockville Pike, Rockville between 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, 8/21 and 10:00 a.m. on Monday, 8/22. Forced entry; nothing taken. Six thefts from vehicles occurred at two Rockville garages, specifically the Legacy Hotel garage, 1775 Rockville Pike and the garage at 198 Halpine Road. Four vehicles had forced entry and two had unknown entry. Three occurred between Tuesday, 8/16 and Wednesday, 8/16; two occurred between Monday, 8/22 and Tuesday, 8/23; and one during daytime hours on Tuesday, 8/16. Loose property in the vehicles was taken; and one stereo was taken. B2 Beat: A residential burglary occurred in the 1500 block of Blue Meadow Road, Rockville between 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday, 8/17 and 8:57 a.m. on Thursday, 8/18. No forced entry; unknown if anything was taken. Graffiti was found at Healthy Directions, 7811 Montrose Road, Rockville on Sunday, 8/21 at 7:37 a.m. B3 Beat: A residential burglary occurred in the 10800 block of Nantucket Terrace, Potomac on Friday, 8/19 between 7:30 p.m. and 8:48 p.m. Forced entry; property taken. B4 Beat: A residential garage burglary occurred in the 14300 block of Platinum Drive, North Potomac between Sunday, 8/21 at 8:30 p.m. and Monday, 8/22 at 7:45 a.m. Unforced entry; property taken. An attempted residential burglary occurred in the 10900 block of Broad Green Terrace, Potomac between 9:30 p.m. on Wednesday, 8/17 and 6:00 a.m. on Thursday, 8/18. Attempted forced entry; nothing taken. A commercial burglary occurred at The China East Restaurant, 14050 Travilah Road, North Potomac between 10:00 p.m. on Thursday, 8/18 and 10:30 a.m. on Friday, 8/19. Forced entry; property taken. A residential burglary occurred in the 11900 block of Ledgerock Court, Potomac on Tuesday, 8/23 at 7:33 p.m. Unknown means of entry; nothing taken. Three thefts from vehicles occurred between 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, 8/14 and 6:17 a.m. on Monday, 8/15 in this North Potomac neighborhood. The first two vehicles were unlocked and the third had unknown entry:
