The Market, held Saturdays, May - October, features special events including live music, chef demos and kid's activities!
August 20 - Enjoy a cooking demonstration and tasting by Jaleo Bethesda's Chef Terri Cutrino from 10:30-11:30am. Boordy Vineyards will also be doing wine sampling from 9am - 1pm.
August 27 - Chef Aviva Goldfarb from Six O'Clock Scramble from 10:30-11:30am; Busted Tailight Band and kid's scavenger hunt, seed planting and build-a-bug games from 9am-1pm. |
| The Trawick Prize Exhibit

The Trawick Prize: Bethesda Contemporary Art Awards, now in its 9th year, annually awards $14,000 to the top contemporary artists from the region. 11 finalists have been selected to be a part of the 2011 Trawick Prize Exhibit, taking place September 1-30 at the Artery Plaza Gallery at 7200 Wisconsin Avenue. The work of the selected finalists ranges from 2-D painting and photography to ornate 12 foot sculptures hanging from the ceiling and a hands-on craft area where attendees are can make their own 3-D book. Artist statements about each of the finalists' creations will be available at the gallery. Gallery hours are Wed.- Sat., 12-6pm. A free public reception will be held in conjunction with the Bethesda Art Walk & Guided Tour on September 9 from 6-9pm. More info. |
