Three more resurfacing projects underway use stimulus funds  Stimulus funds continue to flow into Montgomery County's economy through projects such as the resurfacing of Shady Grove Road; crews do some work at night due to traffic volumes during the day MCDOT received over $15 million in American Recovery and Reinvestment Act stimulus funding designed to help local governments jumpstart their economies. These projects will also improve the transportation infrastructure. Highway Services received $6.7 million to improve seven deteriorated roadways. Barnesville Road was done last fall. Here’s an update on three more resurfacing projects that are underway. * Old Columbia Pike, from MD 198 to US 29, was started this spring and is nearing completion.
