D1 Beat:

• A residential burglary occurred in the 7300 block of Maple Avenue on Tuesday 6/21 between 2:00 p.m. and 10:50 p.m. Forced entry; property taken.


D2 Beat:

• A commercial robbery occurred at the Capital One Bank, 4708 Bethesda Avenue on Tuesday 6/28 at 10:00 a.m. Suspect implied he had a weapon and obtained cash.
Suspect: B/M, 20-30, 5’7”-5’10”/160 lbs., goatee

• An attempted theft from construction site occurred in the 7200 block of 44th Street on Friday 6/24 at approximately 1:15 p.m. Attempt only; nothing taken.


D3 Beat:

• A residential burglary occurred in the 9900 block of Old Spring Road overnight from Monday 6/20 to Tuesday 6/21. No forced entry; nothing taken.

• A theft from vehicle occurred in the 4000 block of Spruell Drive overnight from Sunday 6/26 to Monday 6/27. Two vehicles parked along this street were entered. Entry was forced on one; the other had been left unlocked. A laptop was taken from one; nothing was taken from the other.

• Graffiti was located in the 9600 block of Culver Street between Thursday 6/23 and Friday 6/24.


E1 Beat:

• A residential burglary occurred in the 5300 block of Wakefield Road on Thursday 6/23 between 8:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m. No forced entry; property was taken.

• Ten thefts from vehicles occurred on Thursday 6/23 between 1:15 a.m. and 2:00 a.m., a series of ten incidents (involving a total of 14 vehicles) were reported in the Glen Echo area– Namakagan Drive, Nahant Street, Brookeway Drive, Cleves Lane, and Fort Sumner Drive. No signs of forced entry were found on any of the vehicle involved. Loose valuables left inside were taken (cash, camera, iPod, cell phone etc.)

• A stolen vehicle was reported in the 5200 block of Portsmouth Road, overnight between Tuesday 6/21 and Wednesday 6/22.

• A stolen vehicle was reported in the 5100 block of Westport Road, overnight between Tuesday 6/21 and Wednesday 6/22.

• A stolen vehicle was reported in the 5200 block of Saratoga Avenue, overnight between Wednesday 6/22 and Thursday 6/23.

• A vandalism occurred in the 4700 block of Willard Avenue, sometime between Monday 6/20 and Thursday 6/23 on the rear of the apartment building.


E2 Beat:

• A residential burglary occurred in the 8700 block of Bradmoor Drive overnight from Monday 6/20 to Tuesday 6/21. No forced entry; property taken.


E3 Beat:

• Sixteen thefts from vehicles were reported this week primarily in the Stratton Woods/ Fernwood neighborhoods. No forced entry. Incidents occurred overnight. Vehicles were searched and GPS units, iPods, cash and other loose items were targeted.


E4 Beat:

• No significant activity to report.
