Gaithersburg, MD (April 28, 2011) The 30th Annual Celebrate Gaithersburg in Olde Towne Festival will draw an entire community to Gaithersburg’s historic City center for a day of food, fun, entertainment and family activities. Be part of the celebration exhibiting your wares, promoting your organization, and enhancing your market position with sponsorship opportunities.
The one-day event is scheduled for Sunday, September 18, 2011, and will include five stages of live entertainment, a “Taste of Gaithersburg” featuring local restaurants, a Green Zone filled with environmental information and resources, a lively marketplace, and, new this year, the “Gaithersburg’s Got Talent” band and dance competition. Nearly 20,000 people attended the festival last year.
Vendors and sponsors are invited to apply for participation in this year’s event. Categories include restaurants for the “Taste of Gaithersburg,” arts and crafts and commercial vendors, Green Zone vendors, nonprofit organizations, activity booths, and political candidates. Booth fees vary. Early applications are due by August 5, 2011. After that, a $20 late fee will apply. The last day for all applications is September 7, 2011.
Sponsorship opportunities are also available for businesses interested in supporting the festival and gaining additional marketing exposure. Several sponsorship levels with varying promotional benefits have been established to encourage a wide range of participation.
