Biz Buzz This Thursday

A March Martini Madness Mixer will be held on March 24 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. in the Community Room of the ReMax Building. This very special Biz Buzz will be a salute to Paula Kahla of Paula's Boutique for her 18 years of service to the Olney Chamber and to the Olney community. Join your fellow Chamber members in a toast, enjoy some appetizers, and do a little networking.
Scholarship Update
Applications are already coming in for the Olney Chamber of Commerce's Annual Scholarship Award. Scholarship applications are available in the career centers of the local high schools as well as on the Chamber website with a deadline of April 15, 2011. The Scholarship Committee's goal this year is to award FOUR $1000 scholarships to local high school seniors. So far, through your generosity, the Scholarship Campaign has received $2500, just a little over half way to our goal! Please consider donating to this wonderful program that demonstrates the commitment we as a business community have for our future business leaders. Donations may be mailed to the Chamber office or made online by clicking HERE. The Committee thanks you for your consideration of this important program.

Storybook Ballet: The Olney Ballet Theatre presents the Storybook Ballet, a fantasy for children, on April 2 at 3:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. or April 3 at 3:00 p.m. on the Historic Main Stage at the Olney Theatre Center. Come see your favorite storybook characters come to life in this delightful storybook fantasy. Cost is $20 for adults and $12 for students. Tickets are available at the Olney Theatre Box Office by calling 301.924.3400 or online at www.olneytheatre.org.

Volunteers Needed: The Senior Connection urgently needs volunteers to help their neighbors 62 and older live as independently as possible by: Providing escorted transportation to scheduled medical appointments; Helping with grocery shopping and running errands; or Paying a friendly visit or making a phone call to share companionship.
