Leggett to Speak at Affordable Housing Conference’s Seventh Annual Roundtable &

County Executive Isiah Leggett will join housing advocates, experts and mortgage specialists for a roundtable discussion at Affordable Housing Conference Montgomery County (AHCMC) on ways to create new housing opportunities in today’s economy. Preserving and expanding the stock of affordable housing in Montgomery County has been a priority for the Leggett administration.

The latest round of personal anguish in today’s uncertain economic environment is related to the loss of jobs, loss of income and credit woes. The recent credit and housing squeeze has created a “Double Trouble” dilemma for many young employees, working parents and seniors who are seeking affordable housing options that are reasonable and do not overstretch their budget. The AHCMC Roundtable will address this “Double Trouble” dilemma and offer solutions to remedy the situation.
