Concern for Missing Teenager
Detectives from the Montgomery County Police Family Crimes Division are asking the public for help to locate a teenager who was last seen in Bethesda.
Linwood Ashton, age 16, from Portsmouth, Virginia, was traveling with a caretaker to Baltimore, Maryland. At about 10:30 a.m., the caretaker stopped in the area of 8100 Connecticut Avenue in Bethesda, to allow the juvenile to use the bathroom. After using the bathroom, Ashton became angry with the caregiver, refused to return to the vehicle, and then ran away.
Linwood Ashton is described as an
African-American transgender juvenile representing as a female, 5’10” tall, weighing 260 pounds, with brown eyes. Ashton was last seen wearing a shoulder-length black wig, silver/gold tights, white t-shirt, thin black jacket, tan snow boots, facial make-up, and black stud earrings.
Police and family are concerned because of the young age and certain medical conditions.
