• A residential burglary occurred in the 8500 block of 16th Street, Silver Spring on Sunday, 12/26 between 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. No forced entry; unknown if property was taken.

• Graffiti was painted by the rear entrance of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 5460 Western Avenue, Chevy Chase on Monday, 12/27 between 11:00 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.


D2 Beat:

• A commercial burglary occurred at A Mind for Healing Spa, 6708 Wisconsin Avenue, Chevy Chase on Saturday, 12/25 at approximately 4:00 p.m. Unknown means of entry; unknown whether anything was taken.


D3 Beat:

• A theft from a vehicle occurred in the 4100 block of Howard Avenue, Silver Spring overnight from Monday, 12/20 into Tuesday, 12/21. The vehicle window was broken and a GPS and hand tools were taken.

• A theft from a vehicle occurred in the 9600 block of Cable Drive, Kensington on Monday, 12/27 at 11:00 p.m. The victims reported seeing two suspects in their driveway; one acting as a lookout while the other searched through their vehicle. Police responded and the referenced suspects were located nearby and identified.
Arrested: Male, 21, from Silver Spring; Male, 23, from Wheaton.

• A theft from a vehicle occurred in the 9200 block of E. Parkhill Drive, Bethesda overnight from Monday, 12/27 into Tuesday, 12/28. Entry was gained into a vehicle parked along the street and credit cards were removed.
Suspect: B/M, 45, 6’2”, 230 lbs.


E1 Beat:

• Graffiti was spray painted on the outside wall of a residence in the 6100 block of Overlea Road, Bethesda, overnight from Thursday, 12/23 into Friday, 12/24.

• Graffiti was painted in the 4300 block of Sangamore Road, Bethesda overnight from Thursday, 12/23 into Friday, 12/24.


E2 Beat:

• A commercial burglary occurred at a construction site at 7102 Bells Mill Road, Bethesda on Saturday, 12/25 at 9:30 p.m. Unknown type entry to facility; unknown if property was taken. The suspect was taken into custody.
Arrested: Male, 19, from Bethesda.


E3 Beat:

• A pick pocket incident occurred in the 6400 block of Rock Spring Drive, Bethesda on Wednesday, 12/22 between 11:30 a.m. and 12:45 p.m. The teenaged victim reported that her wallet was taken from her backpack while she was wearing it. The responsible suspect was arrested.
Arrested: Female, 18, from Rockville;
Suspect: B/F, 15.


E4 Beat:

• An attempted commercial burglary/auto theft occurred at the Exxon, 10335 Old Georgetown Road, Bethesda on Thursday, 12/23 at approximately 2:00 a.m. No forced entry, property was taken. In addition, a ’95 Plymouth Voyager (reported stolen from P.G. County) was recovered in the parking lot and a ’03 Ford Explorer was found with a broken vehicle window and a tampered ignition.

• A residential burglary occurred in the 11700 block of Old Georgetown Road, Bethesda on Monday, 12/20 between 11:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Forced entry. Property was taken.
Suspect: W/M, 25-35, 5’9”-5’11”, 170-180 lbs.

• An attempted residential burglary occurred in the 10700 block of Keswick Street, Bethesda on Sunday, 12/26 between 3:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. Attempted forced entry; no entry was gained.

• A residential burglary occurred in the 5000 block of Euclid Drive, Bethesda on Thursday, 12/23 at 3:45 p.m. Unknown means of entry; unknown whether anything was taken.

• Graffiti was painted on a garage door in the 6000 block of Grosvenor Lane, Bethesda overnight from Monday, 12/20 into Tuesday, 12/21.
