GapBusters Learning Center Inc.
The GapBuster Learning Center Counseling, Testing, and Referral (CTR) Program is an important part of the overall strategy to fight HIV and AIDS in Maryland. The program is instrumental in assisting individuals with HIV in accessing medical treatment, social support, and partner counseling and referral services (formerly known as partner notification). It also is an important HIV prevention strategy. Every client who is tested is will be counseled to reduce their risk of acquiring or transmitting the disease.
Starting September 17th, GapBuster Learning Center is offering HIV Prevention/Peer Education program called “Sisters Informing Sisters About Topics on AIDS” (S.I.S.T.A.) and provide HIV Counseling, Testing, and Referral (CTR) services at the Eastern Montgomery Regional Services Center, 3300 Briggs Chaney Rd., SIlver Spring, MD 20904

BVFD Annual Fundraising Carnival
The Burtonsville Volunteer Fire Department Annual Fundraising Carnival will continue from 9/15/10-9/18/10 at the intersection of Route 198 and Star Pointe Lane. The hours of operation will be 6:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. on weekdays, 6:30 to 11:00 on Fridays and Saturdays, and noon to 6:00 p.m. on Sunday. Family nights will be 9/15, and 9/16 where you can purchase armbands for unlimited rides all night. The carnival will feature rides and games for all ages, and lots of delicious food. Please come out for some great family fun while supporting our volunteers! More
