J1 Beat:

• A strong-arm robbery occurred at Copley Road and Grasmere Road, Colesville on Tuesday, 8/24 at 9:00 p.m. Two juvenile male victims were traveling on bike and skateboard, respectively, were followed by a suspect who took their property.
Suspect: 4-5 black male teenagers.

• An attempted residential burglary occurred in the 1300 block of Mimosa Lane, Colesville on Thursday, 8/19 at 1045 a.m. Unknown means of entry; unknown if anything was taken.
Suspects: two black males.

• A residential burglary occurred in the 100 block of Randolph Road, Colesville on Thursday, 8/19 between 9:00 a.m. and 6:27 p.m. Entry was forced and property was taken.

• A residential burglary occurred in the 14500 block of Gilpin Road, Aspen Hill on Friday, 8/20 at 7:15 p.m. Unknown means of entry; nothing taken.
Suspect: Hispanic male, 16-18, shaved head, medium build, and wearing a red baseball cap and a white t-shirt.

• A residential burglary occurred in the 14300 block of Shoreham Drive, Silver Spring between Monday, 8/23 at 10:00 a.m. and Tuesday, 8/24 at 2:15 a.m. Forced entry; no property was taken.


J2 Beat:

• A robbery occurred in front of Starbucks 3126 Olney Sandy Spring Road, Olney on Saturday, 8/21 at 5:00 p.m. The victim interrupted a theft, the suspect assaulted and threatened the victim and then fled.
Suspect: black male, 30-40, 5’7”, 180 lbs., beard;
Vehicle: silver sedan with MD tags.

• A residential burglary occurred in the 18000 block of 18032 Branchwood Lane, Sandy Spring on Friday, 8/20 between 1:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m. Entry was not forced; nothing taken.


K1 Beat:

• A residential burglary occurred in the 3800 block of 3822 Bel Pre Road, Aspen Hill on Wednesday, 8/18 between 8:45 a.m. and 5:27 p.m. There was no sign of forced entry. Property was taken.

• A residential burglary occurred in the 15700 block of Cranberry Lane, Aspen Hill between 11:30 p.m. on Tuesday, 8/17 and 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday, 8/18. Property taken from unlocked garage.

• A residential burglary occurred in the 2300 block of Cranberry Terrace, Aspen Hill on Wednesday, 8/18 at 4:01 a.m. Unknown means of entry; unknown if anything was taken.

• A strong-arm robbery occurred at Pizza Hut, 5556 Norbeck Road, Rockville on Sunday, 8/22 at 11:05 p.m. The suspects threatened an employee and took property.
Suspects: two black males, both 6’2’-6’4” and 170-190 lbs..

• A residential burglary occurred in the 12600 block of Epping Road on Tuesday, 8/24 between 2:00 p.m. and 2:30 pm. Forced entry; property taken.

• A residential burglary occurred in the 12600 block of Epping Road on Tuesday, 8/24 between 7:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. Forced entry; property taken.

• A residential burglary occurred in the 3900 block of Weller Road between 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, 8/17 and 7:00 a.m. on Wednesday, 8/18. Forced entry; property taken.

• A residential burglary occurred in the 3900 block of Weller Road between 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, 8/17 and 7:00 a.m. on Wednesday, 8/18. Forced entry; property taken.

• A residential burglary occurred in the 12600 block of Farnell Drive on Friday, 8/20 at 11:04 a.m. Victim confronted the suspect in the back yard. Entry had not been made; nothing taken.

• A residential burglary occurred in the 4600 block of Glasgow Drive on Friday, 8/20 between 9:20 a.m. and 6:20 p.m. Forced entry; property taken.
Suspect: black male, 20-25, 5’7” & 130-140 lbs., thin build, very close cropped hair.


L1 Beat:

• A residential burglary occurred in the 12000 block of Kemp Mill Road, Silver Spring between noon on Saturday, 8/21 and 11:00 p.m. on Sunday, 8/22. Forced entry; property taken.

• A residential burglary occurred in the 2100 block of Henderson Avenue, Silver Spring on Tuesday, 8/17. Unknown means of entry; unknown whether anything was taken.


L2 Beat:

• A residential burglary occurred in the 2700 block of Jennings Road, Kensington on Thursday, 8/19 between 8:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. No forced entry; property taken.

• A residential burglary occurred in the 2000 block of Dennis Avenue, Silver Spring on Monday, 8/23 between 7:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Forced entry; property taken.

• A sexual assault occurred in the 11400 block of Monterrey Drive, Silver Spring on Tuesday, 8/17. The incident was between an adult male and a juvenile female acquaintance. It is under investigation.
