Vehicle Crash on Carroll Avenue

On June 22, 2010, at approximately 6:23 a.m., a Takoma Park Police Officer was behind a vehicle on Carroll Avenue that had been reported stolen.

The vehicle fled at a high rate of speed and lost control, crashing into five parked vehicles and a pole before resting on top of another vehicle on front of the Victory Towers apartment complex. There were two occupants in the vehicle; one was taken to MedStar for injuries. The other fled the scene.

After a search of the area, the second subject was apprehended and taken to the Washington Adventist Hospital (WAH) for injuries.

Investigation into the incident is still on-going.
