Simple, Decent, Affordable Homes Starting in June, HFH-MC will offer monthly Homeowner Information Sessions. Homeowner Information Sessions will be held on the 3rd Wednesday of every month. To kick off the new process, there will be two sessions in June on the 2nd and 16th.   Sessions include a general overview of the Habitat Homeownership program, homeowner requirements, the selection process, and a pre-screen meeting with the Family Selection Committee. Requirements Requirements for Habitat homeownership include: a demonstrated housing need ability to pay a monthly mortgage legal permanent U.S. residency lived or worked in Montgomery County for the past year a willingness to partner with Habitat throughout the homeownership process For detailed information about homeownership criteria, please click here.   Please note:  Attending a homeownership information session does not guarantee that you will receive an application for Habitat Homeownership.  All attendees MUST pass pre-screening approval based on income and residency status.  Information Sessions During the session, attendees will learn about the Habitat homeownership model, requirements for purchasing a home, the selection process, selection criteria, etc.    Attendance at an information session and completion of a pre-screen meeting does not guarantee receipt of an application, notification of projects, nor selection as a Habitat homebuyer.
