D1 Beat:

• Graffiti was written on the hood of a ‘07 Acura parked in the rear of the commercial parking lot at 5481 Wisconsin Avenue, Bethesda on Saturday, 5/8 between 6:15 p.m. and 9:15 p.m. No suspects were seen.

• A stolen vehicle was recovered in the 4500 block of Fairfield Drive, Bethesda on Monday, 5/3 at approximately 7:00 a.m. The below referenced suspect was seen driving a stolen ’97 Nissan. The suspect was arrested.
Arrested: Male, 40, from Bethesda.


D2 Beat:

• Graffiti was written inside a bathroom at the Safeway 7625 Old Georgetown Road, Bethesda overnight from Saturday, 5/8 to Sunday, 5/9.


D3 Beat:

• An aggravated assault was reported in the 10900 block of Newport Mill Road, Kensington on Friday, 5/7 at approximately 11:30 a.m.

• Two thefts from vehicles occurred in this Bethesda beat this week at unspecified times. Affected streets include:
  • 10100 block of Meadowneck Court
  • 10100 block of Parkwood Terrace
In both incidents, the vehicle was unlocked. Property taken includes: clothing, gym equipment and cash.
Suspect: W/M, 17-20, 5’8”/60 lbs.
Vehicle: white 2-door.


E1 Beat:

• Multiple thefts from vehicles occurred in this Bethesda beat between Tuesday, 5/4 and Thursday, 5/6. Affected streets include: 4500 block of Wetherhill Road, 7900 block of Jensen Place and in the area of River Road and Wilson Lane. Entry was either unforced or unknown. In one incident, suspects were observed; in another, suspects were apprehended.
Suspects: two B/Ms;
Arrested: Male, 20, from Rockville; Female, 18, from Rockville; Male, 20, from Bethesda; Male, 17, from Kensington.


E2 Beat:

• Two thefts from vehicles were reported overnight from Tuesday, 5/4 into Wednesday, 5/5; both involved unlocked vehicles. One occurred in the 8700 block of Ewing Drive, Bethesda; the other in the 5700 block of Glenwood Drive, Bethesda. Taken: a GPS, cell phone, loose cash and checks. Two suspects (referenced below) attempted to cash a stolen check for a third suspect.
Arrested: Male, from Bethesda; Male, 30;
Suspect: B/M, 35, 5’7”-5’9”, bald.


E3 Beat:

• No significant activity to report.


E4 Beat:

• An armed commercial robbery occurred at the Exxon, 11430 Rockville Pike, North Bethesda on Monday, 5/10 at approximately 5:30 a.m. The lone suspect entered the establishment and displayed what appeared to be a gun. A struggle ensued. The suspect took cash and fled the scene.
Suspect: B/M.

• An armed street robbery occurred in the 11500 block of Rockville Pike, North Bethesda on Monday, 5/10 at 10:14 p.m. The two female victims were walking towards the White Flint Metro when they were approached from behind by the referenced suspect who demanded their purses. The victims refused and the suspect produced a weapon (NFD), grabbed one of their purses and
fled down the street towards Old Georgetown Road.
Suspect: A/M, 20-25, 5’8”-5’10”, 150-180 lbs., green wide-brimmed hat.

• An attempted residential burglary/assault on a police officer occurred in the 10900 block of Jolly Way, Kensington on Thursday, 5/6 at approximately 1:40 a.m. MCP responded for an attempted burglary. Attempted forced entry, none gained, suspect arrested.
Arrested: Male, 22, from Kensington.
