Volunteer News from Habitat for Humanity of Montgomery County - May 2010
Habitat for Humanity of Montgomery County, Maryland, Inc. Volunteer E-News May, 2010 | | | | | | | Construction Volunteer Update | | We had our final three dedications for the Neighborhood Revitalization Program homes on May 8th. Thanks to your hard work, we are wrapping up our current construction project. That means we might not have many individual construction volunteer opportunities. We have many volunteer needs at our affiliate even though our building has slowed. Please see below for more information on how you can volunteer beyond the site! If you want to be the first to know about volunteer opportunities be sure to find HFH-MC on Facebook. You never know when we might need some last minute help in the office, on the site or Habitat ReStore! |

| Faith Outreach Update | Inter-Faith House Is your congregation looking for a community service project? Try one that will engage your volunteers in building and fundraising, all while providing an opportunity for them to learn about other faiths! Habitat for Humanity of Montgomery County is looking for faith communities who are interested in participating in an Inter-Faith House-a home that is built and funded by faith communities of all denominations. In addition to building a home together, events will take place that support the educational component of the Inter-Faith House. What better way to promote peace within our community than to build a home for a low-income family in need with volunteers of other faiths? Help us make 2010 a year of building on faith!
HFH-MC is looking for a few good men and women to help us tell the Habitat story throughout the faith community. For more information about our Faith Outreach please contact Cara Montufar, Faith Relations VISTA, at (301) 990-0014 x25 or cara.montufar@habitat-mc.org. |
