Leggett to Receive Prestigious Award from the Asian Pacific American Bar Association; Award Presented at Annual Awards Scholarship Banquet

County Executive Isiah Leggett was selected as one of two leaders in Maryland to be honored by the Asian Pacific American Bar Association of Maryland (APABA-MD) at its Sixth Annual Scholarship and Awards Banquet that will be held tonight in Silver Spring.

The award will be presented by the APABA to Leggett for being a leader in Maryland who has championed diversity and actively sought to elevate the importance of diversity in Maryland.

“We’re extremely honored that Mr. Leggett has accepted this award and we’re so very proud of all of his contributions to the Asian Pacific community,” said APABA Maryland President Marianne Hendricks. “His contributions will have an indelible, long-lasting impact on both the Montgomery County and Maryland Asian Pacific community and we thank him for his leadership.”
