Weekly Crime Summaries for all six police districts and Rockville City, and Takoma Park were published May 10 to May 13. Summaries are published in Local Crime Reports.

The Montgomery County Police is seeking two female suspects involved in a robbery and stabbing in the White Oak area on May 9. A CrimeSolvers online tip is included.

Fundraising efforts continue in support of Montgomery County Police Officer Hector Ayala’s family. This week an anonymous Montgomery County business donated $20,000 with a challenge to other local businessman. On April 4, 2010, Officer Hector Ayala was on duty and responding to a call from a fellow officer for assistance when his vehicle left the roadway and struck a tree. Officer Ayala died in the line of duty. Officer Ayala is survived by his fourteen-month-old son and his wife who is pregnant with triplets, due in June.

Four Montgomery County educators have won the “2010 Awards for Excellence in Teaching” from the Marian Greenblatt Education Fund. The four teachers are from Wootton High School, Montgomery Blair High School, Arcola Elementary School, and Travilah Elementary School.
