Officers from the Montgomery County Police 1st District are investigating a serious personal injury collision that occurred this morning in Potomac.
At approximately 8:57 a.m., 1st District officers responded to the report of a traffic collision that had just occurred in the area of River Road and Lake Potomac Drive.
Through the preliminary investigation it was learned that a 1997 black Infinity driven by a 36-year-old man from Boyds, was traveling southbound on River Road. That vehicle was followed by a 2004 silver Infinity driven by a 33-year-old man from Boyds. (The drivers of the two Infinity sedans do not know one another.)
For unknown reasons, the driver of the black Infinity crossed over the double yellow center line and collided with a Mack truck with flatbed traveling northbound on River Road.
