DEP Seeks Public Input on State of County Streams The Montgomery County Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) will host two regional public meetings to discuss the state of the county’s streams. The public will be able to provide input on watershed-specific restoration plans that address stream pollution and meet new stormwater permit requirements. Residents are encouraged to attend the meeting that addresses the watershed plans in their region. The first “State of the Streams” meeting will focus on restoration approaches for the Lower Monocacy, Potomac River tributaries (including Muddy and Watts Branch) and Seneca Creek watersheds. It will be held on Saturday, February 27 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Seneca Valley High School, 19401 Crystal Rock Drive, Germantown.
