Rockville City Hall to Close
Jan. 18 for Martin Luther King Jr. Day

Recycling and Refuse Will Not be Collected; Parking Fees Will be Lifted

ROCKVILLE, Md., January 5, 2009 - Rockville City Hall, as well as many City facilities, will be closed or will operate on a limited schedule on Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Monday, Jan. 18.

Parking is free at all on-street meters and in the three City-owned Town Square garages - on Route 355, Maryland Avenue and N. Washington Street.

Recycling and Refuse will not be collected. When a holiday falls on a weekday and residents' regularly scheduled collection day is on or after the holiday, collection will be delayed by one day. For example, if collection is scheduled for Monday, recycling and refuse will be picked up on Tuesday. Each day of that week will follow that one-day shift forward. Friday collections will be done on Saturday. Call 240-314-8568 for more information or visit
