The Montgomery County Police is looking for possible additional victims related a juvenile sex assault case in the Germantown area. A 60-year-old suspect was arrested on November 25.

Weekly Crime Summaries for all six police districts and Rockville City, and Takoma Park were published December 1 to 3. Summaries are published in Local Crime Reports.

The Centers for Disease Control is warning of an email phishing scam. Fraudulent emails reference a CDC sponsored State Vaccination Program for H1N1. The messages request that users create a personal H1N1 (swine flu) Vaccination Profile on the web site. A sample of the email is included.

The county-wide honor rolls for the 2009-2010 first grading period have been published. A total of 39,463 students made the honor roll with 7,303 students earning grades of all A. or

Nine Montgomery County students were winners of the 2009 Junior Achievement Essay Competition. Winners are from Montgomery Blair, Walt Whitman, Paint Branch, Richard Montgomery, and Thomas Wootton high schools. Paint Branch High School won a $6,000 award for the Maryland school with the greatest number of competition applicants.

The Maryland Department of Transportation's State Highway Administration (SHA) begins a $1.4 million safety and resurfacing project for New Hampshire Avenue from Route 410 to Holton Lane in Takoma Park. The work is expected to begin this week and continue sporadically through the spring of 2010. An area map is included.
