Officers from the Montgomery County Police 2nd District have arrested a 17-year-old male from Silver Spring for drug and handgun possession.
Yesterday at approximately 2:20 p.m., an officer from the 2nd District conducted a traffic stop on the suspect’s vehicle in the area of the 4500 block of Sleaford Road in Bethesda, near Bethesda Chevy Chase High School. The suspect was stopped for minor vehicle equipment maintenance repairs. It was learned that the suspect was also driving on a suspended license and was placed under arrest. A search of the vehicle produced a loaded handgun, drugs, and drug paraphernalia. The suspect was transported to the Montgomery County Detention Center and charged as an adult.
The suspect was identified as Stephen Marcus Lipov, age 17, of the 2100 block of Washington Avenue in Silver Spring.
