Gaithersburg Needs “Secret Santas”
for Upcoming Holiday Season
Gaithersburg, MD. The City of Gaithersburg is seeking compassionate residents, businesses and organizations to be Secret Santas this holiday season. Each year, hundreds of children in need are selected by their guidance counselors to benefit from this heartwarming program. The names are kept confidential, but each child’s wishes are clearly spelled out. Select a recipient (or more if you can), then shop, wrap and deliver your gifts to the child’s school. Gifts must be delivered by December 11, 2009 to ensure timely distribution before the holidays.
This project is ideal for offices, church groups, families, and individuals. Just tell us how many children you’d like to help, and we’ll provide the wish lists.
Don’t have time for extra shopping during the holidays? The Secret Santa program would be happy to receive your donation of new gifts, gift cards and financial contributions. There are many secret shoppers who are willing to donate their time to help.
If you’d like to participate please contact Sarah Messier with the City of Gaithersburg Department of Parks, Recreation and Culture at 301-258-6350 or e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org.
