Montgomery Council Committee to Discuss Germantown Sector Plan on Tue., July 7 PHED Committee’s Worksession on Plan Will Address Transportation, College Zoning, Cider Barrel Relocation ROCKVILLE, Md., July 6, 2009—The Planning, Housing and Economic Development (PHED) Committee of the Montgomery County Council on Tuesday, July 7, will hold its fourth and final scheduled worksession on the Germantown Sector Plan. Among the issues scheduled for discussion are transportation, zoning for the Montgomery College campus in Germantown and where to relocate the historic Cider Barrel stand. The Planning, Housing and Economic Development Committee, which is chaired by Mike Knapp and includes Councilmembers Marc Elrich and Nancy Floreen, will meet at 1:30 p.m. in the Seventh Floor Hearing Room of the Council Office Building at 100 Maryland Ave. in Rockville.
