J1 Beat:

• A residential burglary occurred on Tuesday, 6/9 or Wednesday, 6/10 at an unknown time to a residence in the 13700 block of Notley Road in Silver Spring. Forced entry, property taken.

• A commercial burglary occurred overnight Saturday, 6/13 into Sunday, 6/14 at the Mirrors, Barber Shop, at 28 Vital Way in Silver Spring. Forced entry, property taken.


J2 Beat:

• A strong-arm robbery of a pizza deliverer occurred on Friday, 6/12 at 10:50 p.m. in the 18000 block of Branchwood Lane in Silver Spring. The suspects, three black males 17-21 years old, made a bogus order, then assaulted and robbed the driver when he arrived to deliver the pizza.

• A commercial robbery occurred on Monday, 6/15 at 8:30 a.m. at the Allstate Office at 2919 Olney Sandy Spring Road in Olney. The suspect, a H/M, 20-25, medium height and weight, tattoo on neck, little or no accent, entered the office, displayed a handgun, and demanded money. The suspect obtained cash from the victim’s wallet and left through the rear door.

• A residential burglary occurred on Wednesday, 6/10 at 9:50 p.m. in the 3500 block of Cherry Valley Drive in Olney. No forced entry. The owner was home and when he confronted the suspect in the house, the suspect ran out the front door. MCP located the 18-year-old male suspect and he was arrested.


K1 Beat:

• A strong-arm robbery occurred on Sunday, 6/14 at 11:40 a.m. in the Metro garage at 12501 Georgia Avenue in Silver Spring. The adult female victim was entering the stairwell. The suspect, described as a young black male, 5’10”, thin build, black hair and beard, grabbed the victim’s purse and took it from her.

• A residential garage burglary occurred on Monday, 6/15 between 7:45 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. in the 3100 block of Beaverwood Lane in Silver Spring. No forced entry, property taken.

• The eight thefts from vehicles occurred in Silver Spring between Monday, 6/8 and Wednesday, 6/17, in the areas of:
  • 3100 block of Beaverwood Lane
  • 14000 block of Blazer Lane
  • 13100 block of Jingle Lane
  • 2800 block of Hewitt Avenue
  • 3200 block of Whispering Pines Drive
  • 3900 block of Bel Pre Road
  • 2900 block of Bluff Point Lane
  • 1700 block of Merrifields Drive
  • Park Vista Drive and Massanutten
All forced entry, vehicle parts, GPS units, jewelry, briefcase, tools, and electronic equipment taken.


K2 Beat:

• A residential burglary occurred on Friday, 6/12 between 5:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. in the 13300 block of Keating Street in Rockville. Forced entry, nothing taken.

• A Peeping Tom incident occurred on Thursday, 6/11 at 6:32 a.m., in the 3000 block of Weller Road in Silver Spring. A Hispanic male 20’s, 6’, 160 lbs., bald/shaved head looked in the window at a 16-year-old female. The victim’s father chased the suspect to a white Chevrolet Astrovan.

• Eight thefts from vehicles occurred between Monday, 6/8 and Wednesday, 6/17 in the following areas:
  • 12400 block of Vinton Terrace
  • 13800 block of Drake Drive
  • 3600 block of Janet Road
  • 4600 block of Wissahican Avenue
  • 4700 block Miltfred Terrace
  • 3500 block of May Street
  • 13600 block Parkland Drive
  • 12800 block of Parkland Drive
Most of the vehicles were unlocked. Tapes, electronic equipment, stereos, money, and lawn care equipment were taken.


L1 Beat:

• A residential burglary occurred at an unknown time between Thursday, 6/11 and Friday, 6/12 to a residence in the 2700 block of Munson Street in Silver Spring. Unknown entry, nothing taken.

• A residential burglary occurred on Wednesday, 6/10 between 8:05 a.m. and 3:15 p.m. in the 11700 block of Grandview Avenue in Silver Spring. No forced entry, property taken.

• A residential burglary occurred between Monday, 6/8 and Friday, 6/12 in the 11600 block of Collegeview Drive in Silver Spring. Forced entry, nothing taken.


L2 Beat:

• An armed robbery occurred on Thursday, 6/11 at 10:00 p.m. in the 900 block of Gable Street in Silver Spring. The three black male suspects placed a gun to the head of a juvenile male and demanded his property. The suspects obtained property from a juvenile female.

• A strong-arm robbery occurred on Monday, 6/15 at midnight inside the Telvis Restaurant, 11222 Grandview Avenue in Silver Spring. The suspect, a H/M, 25-30, average height and weight, took property from the victim and ran from the restaurant. The victim chased the suspect down and recovered his property.

• An aggravated assault (knife/machete) occurred on Sunday, 6/14 at 1:50 a.m. at Grandview Avenue and Ennalls in Silver Spring, between strangers after a dispute inside Humberto’s. Two adult male suspects were arrested.

• A commercial burglary occurred on Wednesday, 6/10 at 1:35 a.m. at the Karasik Child Care, 10611 Tenbrook Drive in Silver Spring. Forced entry, property taken.
