Two Children’s Book Authors to Visit Montgomery County Public Libraries During National Children’s Book Week 2009

In celebration of National Children’s Book Week, May 11-17, Friends of the Library, Montgomery County (FOLMC) will host two children’s book author programs for young readers and their families.

On Tuesday, May 12 at 7 p.m. at the Bethesda Library, Virginia Euwer Wolff, author of the popular “Lemonade” series, will present a program for tweens and teens. Wolff, who grew up in a log cabin in rural Oregon, started her writing career at age 50. She is an accomplished violinist and enjoys gardening. The Bethesda Library is located at 7400 Arlington Blvd. Refreshments will be provided by the Friends of the Library, Bethesda Chapter.

This program is funded by the Cindy Guthrie Memorial Fund, established by the friends and colleagues of former librarian and children’s book enthusiast.
