Environmental Protection Director Bob Hoyt to Participate on Panel About Community Partnerships to Manage Invasive Species- Montgomery County Department of Environmental Protection Director Bob Hoyt will participate in a panel discussion on effective community partnerships during a seminar entitled, “Conservation Partnering: Invasive Species Management as a Successful Watershed Protection Partnership.” The free seminar is targeted to community members, students, nonprofit employees, military personnel, government officials, business owners, land owners and others. It will be held on April 30 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Naval Support Facility Carderock, Building 40, 9500 MacArthur Boulevard, West Bethesda. Leggett, Andrews, Madaleno, Feldman and Montgomery State Legislators to Review Impact of 2009 General  Assembly Decisions- Montgomery County Executive Isiah Leggett and Council President Phil Andrews will join Montgomery County Senate Delegation Chair Richard S. Madaleno Jr., Montgomery County House Delegation Chair Brian Feldman and other members of the county’s legislative delegation to review this year’s General Assembly session. Montgomery Council Committees to Review Budget Requests of Police, WSSC, OHR- The Public Safety Committee of the Montgomery County Council on Thursday, April 16, will review the operating budget requests of the County’s Police, Sheriff’s Office and Park Police as part of preparing the County’s Fiscal Year 2010 operating budget. The meeting of the Public Safety Committee, which is chaired by Council President Phil Andrews and includes Councilmembers Roger Berliner and Marc Elrich, will begin at 2 p.m. in the Third Floor Council Hearing Room of the Council Office Building at 100 Maryland Ave. in Rockville. Rockville Woman Charged with Kidnapping- Rockville City Police arrested a 39-year-old Rockville woman this morning for her role in the abduction of a 6-year-old child from Lakewood Elementary School in Rockville.
