D1 Beat:

• A rape occurred in the 1700 block of East West Highway in Bethesda on Sunday, 3/29. , the suspect broke into victim’s apartment through the front door and forcibly raped her. The victim was able to leave the apartment and contact the police. The suspect was located still at the scene and arrested.


D2 Beat:

• Several vandalisms to vehicles were reported in the downtown Bethesda area overnight between Friday, 3/27 to Saturday, 3/28. Windows were broken on ten vehicles parked along Fairfax Road, Exfair Road, Denton Road, and Hampden Lane. No suspects were seen and no entry was gained into any of the vehicles.


D3 Beat:

• A theft from a vehicle occurred in the 3100 block of University Boulevard in Kensington on Thursday, 3/26 at 12:30 a.m., MCP observed the below referenced suspects park their vehicle near the victim’s vehicle and proceed to removed a tire and attempt to remove a second. The suspects loaded the tire into their vehicle and left the scene before being stopped and arrested by police.


E1 Beat:

• A residential burglary occurred in the 5900 block of Harwick Road in Bethesda on Wednesday, 3/25 between 9:00 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. Suspects forced entry and removed property.


E2 Beat:

• An indecent exposure occurred in the 8800 block of Rockville Pike in Rockville on Monday 3/23, at approximately 4:00 p.m. Suspect was observed exposing himself on the Redline train. Suspect was stopped and arrested at the Twinbrook Station by Metro Transit Police.


E3 Beat:

• A residential garage burglary occurred in 11200 block of Farmland Drive in Rockville time between Friday, 3/27 and Sunday, 3/29. Suspects removed two bicycles from the open garage.

• A pick pocketing in the 7100 block of Democracy Blvd. in Bethesda on Monday, 3/23. Two suspects approached the elderly victim as he was exiting Macy’s and offered to help him with the door. The victim felt the suspect reaching near his pocket and after the suspects departed, discovered his wallet was missing.

• A purse snatching occurred at the bus stop located at Rockledge Drive & Fernwood Road in Bethesda on Thursday, 3/26 at approximately 1:15 p.m. The victim was waiting at the bus stop when the suspect approached from behind and grabbed the victim’s purse out of her hands. The suspect then fled on foot down Fernwood Road.
Suspect: B/M, wearing black clothing (NFI)


E4 Beat:

• A commercial burglary occurred at Domino’s Pizza, 11540 Rockville Pike in Rockville on Monday 3/23 between 1:00 - 9:30 a.m. No sign of forced entry was discovered. Investigation is continuing.

• A theft occurred in the 11300 block of Rockville Pike in Rockville on Friday, 3/27 between 7:00 - 9:30 p.m. While in the Cheesecake Factory, a wallet was removed from the victim’s purse. The victim stated that her credit cards had been used. No suspects were seen.
