| |  Spring is in the Air, Hit the Links at RedGate Preparations are now under way for the upcoming golf season at RedGate Municipal Golf Course. RedGate offers an 18-hole, 71-par championship course with a four-tee system, driving range, snack bar and pro shop.

Enjoy a 'Spotlight on Broadway' The Musical Theatre Center performs a "Spotlight on Broadway," a musical revue that features an exciting mix of Broadway favorites and current showstoppers on Friday, March 20, Saturday, March 21, and Sunday, March 22, at F. Scott Fitzgerald Theatre.
Celebrate the Grand Opening of Thomas Farm Community Center The Mayor and Council invite you to attend the Thomas Farm Community Center Grand Opening Celebration with a ribbon cutting ceremony at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, March 21, followed by a community open house and reception. Learn about the City's newest "green" facility, watch fitness and class demonstrations, and participate in children's activities.
Take a Walk About Town Center Debuts Walk About Town Center is Rockville's newest walking tour, offering people a way to explore the downtown from a different perspective. The walk, part of the City's wellness program, features five options that will take you through the new urban Town Center and past some of Rockville's most beautiful historic homes. 'Bark, Bark, Do Art' at Twinbrook Library Children in preschool, kindergarten and elementary school can participate in a day of arts and crafts with volunteers from the 4-H Club from 1-3 p.m. Saturday, March 21, at Twinbrook Library, 202 Meadowhall Drive.
Come Out to the Science Café The Rockville Science Center's Science Café will be held beginning at 6 p.m. Tuesday, March 24, at Greystone Grill in Town Square. The presentation begins at 6:30 p.m. Hear Edwin J. Heilweil, National Institutes of Standards and Technology, speak about "Alternatives to Fossil Fuels: Solar Cells, Hydrogen Fuel Cells and Beoynd."
Photo Exhibit Highlights How You See It A range of contemporary photographs juried by Frank Goodyear, assistant curator of photography at the National Portrait Gallery, Smithsonian Institution, as well as juried works of middle and high school photographers from the Washington Metropolitan area at VisArts at Rockville, 155 Gibbs St.
Last Chance to See Student Artwork Rockville student artists will exhibit their work in the annual Rockville Student Art Show held through Tuesday, March 24, at Glenview Mansion. The show allows students to submit one 2-D or 3-D work in any media.
Spend Spring Break Getting to Know Nature Croydon Creek Nature Center is offering Spring Break Nature Adventures for children ages 8-12 who want to participate in hands-on activities, hikes and trips 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Monday, April 6, through Friday, April 10.
Budget Introduction at Mayor and Council Monday The Fiscal Year 2010 budget will be introduced Monday, March 23, during the Mayor and Council meeting at 7 p.m. at City Hall. The Twinbrook Neighborhood Plan will also be discussed.
Income Tax Assistance Offered for Seniors Seniors who need help with their income taxes can find it at the Rockville Senior Center. Income tax assistance available by appointment through April 13. Call 240-777-2577. No fee for the service.
Rockville Zoning Ordinance Takes Effect The City is now accepting pre-application meeting forms with required project submission packages for review. The new zoning ordinance was effective Monday, March 16.
