Public Meeting: Metro Invites Public Comment on MetroBus Q2/Veirs Mill Line Study
Public Meeting: Metro Invites Public Comment on MetroBus Q2/Veirs Mill Line Study The Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA), in partnership with MCDOT, has begun a study into improving transit service along the Metrobus Q2/Veirs Mill Line. As part of this process, a public meeting will be held on Tuesday, March 31, 2009, from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm at the First Baptist Church of Wheaton, 10914 Georgia Avenue, Wheaton. The study process includes a rider survey, a series of public meetings, and a comprehensive technical analysis. The study will run through spring of 2009, and the recommended improvements are expected to be implemented in mid-to-late 2009. The Q2/Veirs Mill Line Study is part of a series of bus line restructuring projects being conducted by WMATA. In a first series of public meetings, riders of the Q2 line gave the study team feedback about challenges facing the line and ideas on ways to improve service.
