| | Registration Begins for Spring Rec Programs Spring is almost in the air and resident registration begins today for Rockville spring recreation programs. There are plenty of classes to choose from, so catch the early bird specials at the new Thomas Farm Community Center, where you'll find Yoga for Kids, Aerobic Fitness, Reggae - Dance and Fitness or Cardio Bootcamp.
No School? No Problem Rockville Teen Programs is offering a trip to a local movie theater from noon to 4 p.m. Friday, Feb. 27, when school is out for the day. Students in grades six to 12 will be picked up and dropped off at Robert Frost and Julius West middle schools. Cost is $10, residents; $12, nonresidents.
 Attract Birds to Your Backyard Learn how to identify common winter birds and make a bird feeder to attract feathered friends to your yard, 1-2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 27, at the Croydon Creek Nature Center. Registration required.
Follow the Tracks, Make a T-shirt Tracks and T's offers the chance to explore animal tracks and signs in the forest and meadow around Corydon Creek nature Center, then make a tracking T-shirt. Sign up ahead of time for the program being held 10:30 a.m.-noon Friday, Feb. 27.
A Merry Opera Comes to the City Travel back in time to a different age altogether with the Victorian Lyric Opera Company's performance of "The Merry Widow." Shows are Fridays and Saturdays, Feb. 27 and 28, and March 6 and 7, at 8 p.m. and Sundays, March 1 and 8, at 2 p.m. A half-price preview performance will be held tonight at 8 p.m.
Enjoy Some Family Time with Stories Come out for storytime that's designed for families with young children at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 28, at the Twinbrook Library, 202 Meadownhall Drive.
Exhibit Highlights Student Artists The annual Rockville Student Art Show exhibit opening reception, with a ribbon and certificate ceremony, and Home/School Talents show featuring song, dance and comedy will be held Sunday, March 1, 1:30-3 p.m. at Glenview Mansion. Show is on exhibit through March 24.
Celebrate Dr. Seuss' Birthday Listen to Dr. Seuss stories and make bookmarks in celebration of Dr. Seuss' birthday from 4-6 p.m. Monday, March 2, at the Rockville Library in Town Square. Teens will read to preschool and elementary age children, then and help them design their own creations.
Celebrate Your Birthday with the Barry Goodman Trio Seniors can come out to party in celebration of March birthdays from 1:30-3 p.m. Wednesday, March 4, at the Rockville Senior Center, 1150 Carnation Drive.
Give Your Opinion on the Rockville Swim Center Take a survey to let Rockville know what classes you would like to see offered at the new fitness center at the Rockville Municipal Swim Center. You could win a gift certificate to a local restaurant just for participating.

Photo Exhibit Highlights How You See It A range of contemporary photographs juried by Frank Goodyear, Assistant Curator of Photography at the National Portrait Gallery, Smithsonian Institution, as well as juried works of middle and high school photographers from the Washington Metropolitan area begins Thursday, March 5, at VisArts at Rockville, 155 Gibbs St.
