SmarTrip Cards Now on Sale

Metro’s colorful commemorative Barack Obama Inaugural SmarTrip cards are now available for sale at Metro’s sales offices located at Metro Center, the Pentagon and its headquarters building located at 600 5th St., NW.

The new cards feature a smiling President-elect with gold lettering across the face of the cards. They work just like Metro’s standard SmarTrip card. Customers can load value onto the cards to use to pay for their Metrobus or Metrorail fares and to pay for parking fees at Metrorail parking facilities.

The commemorative SmarTrip cards can be purchased for $10 each without fare value, or for $20, which includes $10 fare value loaded onto the card.
