Leggett Attends "Unique Closet" Fashion Show; Accepts Second Annual Donation for Coun
County Executive Isiah Leggett will join Unique Thrift Store staff and non-profit organization representatives to accept a donation on behalf of County community-based organizations. Unique Thrift Store, with locations in Wheaton and Silver Spring, is contributing $100,000 in gift certificates to community organizations and local schools. Those receiving gift certificates can redeem the certificates for clothing, household goods, books and other necessities from the stores. More than 50 groups are participating, including 34 public elementary, middle and high schools, the Housing Opportunities Commission, Interfaith Works and the Jewish Social Service Agency. ...more
