Entry Deadline Extended for the Keep Montgomery County Beautiful Annual Beautificatio

The deadlines for this year’s annual Keep Montgomery County Beautiful community beautification award competition for landscaping projects and the amateur photography contest have both been extended to June 23.

The beautification contest is open to community groups, businesses, public institutions and other organizations that have installed landscaping projects to enhance the appearance of commonly owned sections of commercial or residential properties, roadsides, medians, or other public locations.

For the photography contest, photos of sites, landmarks, or people are judged on effective composition, originality, interest, relevance and technique.

To obtain the nomination forms for either contest or for more information, call the Department of Public Works and Transportation’s Community Outreach Office at 240-777-7155. Or, download either form from the County’s website at www.montgomerycountymd.gov/dpwt.
