  • 14000 blk. of Notley Road Thursday, 5/22 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Nothing taken.

  • 1000 blk. of Notley Road. Monday, 5/20 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Property taken.

  • 900 blk. of Copley Lane. Friday, 5/16 to Monday, 5/26: Nothing taken.

  • 14300 blk. of Northwyn Drive, Friday, 5/16 11:00 a.m. - 12 p.m. Nothing taken.

J2 Beat:

• A commercial burglary occurred and these two burglaries were discovered.
  • Thai Tavern, 4011 Norbeck Road in Rockville Thursday, 5/29, 2:37 a.m. Attempted burglary; no entry.

  • House of Gyro 4007 Norbeck Road in Rockville Thursday, 5/29, 2:37 a.m. Nothing was taken.
• A residential burglary occurred overnight Friday, 5/23 to Saturday, 5/24, in the 18700 block of Olney Mill Road in Rockville. Property taken.


K1 Beat:

• A strong-arm street robbery occurred on Saturday, 5/31 at 12:10 a.m. at Georgia Avenue and Hewitt Avenue in Wheaton. Two adult male victims exited the bus. The three black males 16 to 21 years old, and a lone black female 16 to 22 years old, followed the victims off the bus and one of the suspects yelled threatening obscenities. The suspects beat and kicked the victims, taking property. The suspects fled east on Hewitt Avenue.

• A residential burglary occurred on Friday, 5/30 between 4:00 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. in the 3000 block of Bel Pre Road in Silver Spring. No forced entry, property taken.


K2 Beat:

• A strong-arm street robbery occurred on Tuesday, 5/27 at 9:00 p.m. The adult male victim was walking on Georgia Avenue at Layhill Road in Wheaton when the suspect ran up behind the victim and grabbed his cell phone. The suspect ran east on Layhill Road.
Suspect: B/M 25 to 30 years old, beard, crew cut, wearing a blue “Ecko” t-shirt

• A residential burglary occurred on Thursday, 5/29 between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. in the 14220 block of Greenspan Lane in Wheaton. No forced entry, property taken.

• A residential burglary occurred on Sunday, 6/1 at 3:45 a.m. in the 14500 block of Woodcrest Drive in Wheaton. Unknown entry, property taken.

• An indecent exposure occurred on Wednesday, 5/28 in the 12700 block of Turkey Branch Parkway in Wheaton. A female Postal employee delivered the mail to the suspect who exposed himself. Police arrested the suspect.
Defendant: B/M, 18 years old, of Wheaton


L1 Beat:

• A commercial burglary occurred between Thursday, 5/29 at 9:30 p.m. to Friday, 5/30 at 12:10 a.m. at Shaul’s Kosher Place located at 1319 Lamberton Drive. Forced entry, property taken.

• A school burglary occurred on Thursday, 5/29, at Arcola Elementary located at 1820 Franwall Avenue. Forced entry, nothing taken.

• A residential burglary occurred Thursday, 5/29, 8:20 a.m.-7:30 p.m. in the 2020 block of Franwall Avenue in Wheaton. Forced entry, property taken.

• Three residential burglaries occurred overnight: Two were attempts only.
  • 2100 blk. of Arcola Ave in Wheaton, Wednesday, 5/29 to Thursday, 5/30, 10:00 p.m.-4:30 a.m. Attempted forced entry.

  • 12500 blk. of Heurich Road in Wheaton, Thursday, 5/29 to Friday,5/30, 9:00 p.m.-6:00 a.m.. Attempted forced entry.

  • 2100 blk. of Hermitage Ave in Wheaton, Friday, 5/30 to Sunday,6/1. Forced entry, property taken.

L2 Beat:

• An armed robbery on a Metrobus occurred on Thursday, 5/29 at 2:30 p.m., the young adult male victim and suspect were on a Metrobus from Northwood High School. The suspect, sat next to the victim, displayed a gun and demanded the victim’s property. The victim complied. The suspect exited the bus. The suspect was later identified and arrested after he robbed an ice cream truck using a gun. He was charged with both robberies.
Defendant: B/M, 16 to 17 years old of Gaithersburg

• A residential burglary occurred between Friday, 5/30 and Sunday, 6/1, in the 11400 block of Kenton Place in Wheaton. Forced entry, property was taken.

• A residential burglary occurred on Saturday, 5/31, between 4:40 p.m.-6:25 p.m. in the 1900 block of Dennis Avenue in Wheaton. Forced entry, property was taken.
