J1 Beat:

• A residential burglary occurred in the 1300 block of Mimosa Lane in Silver Spring, on Friday 5/9 between 6:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Forced entry, property taken.


J2 Beat:

• A residential burglary occurred in the 17000 block of Monitor Drive in Olney, between Wednesday, 5/7 at 6:00 p.m. and Thursday 5/8 at 5:00 a.m. An unknown suspect entered the unlocked garage door. Property was taken from an unlocked vehicle inside.

• An attempted residential burglary occurred in the 300 block of Haviland Mill Road in Brinklow, on Friday, 5/9 between 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Attempted forced entry, nothing taken.


K1 Beat:

• Two residential burglaries occurred in the 4100 block of Postgate Terrace in Aspen Hill, on Wednesday 5/7, between 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Forced entry, property taken.


K2 Beat:

• An attempted commercial strong–arm robbery occurred at the Chevron Station at 13990 Georgia Avenue in Silver Spring on Thursday, 5/8 at 1:43 a.m. The suspect, a white male, 35-40, 5’11, 200 lbs. tattoos on both calves, entered the store and walked behind the booth. The suspect demanded cash. The clerk pushed the suspect out of the booth and locked the door. The suspect fled on foot southbound on Georgia Avenue.

• An attempted strong-arm robbery occurred in the area of Elizabeth Street and Vandalia Drive in Silver Spring, on Saturday, 5/10 at 9:45 p.m. The suspects, three black males, all 20-25, punched the victim. The suspects attempted to take the victim’s wallet which was attached to his belt by a chain. The suspects fled when a vehicle approached.

• An attempted residential burglary occurred in the 12700 block of Connecticut Avenue in Silver Spring, on Wednesday, 5/7 at 11:47 p.m. No forced entry, nothing taken.

• A residential burglary occurred in the 14500 block of Chesterfield Road in Rockville, overnight Tuesday, 5/6 into Wednesday, 5/7. An unknown suspect entered the unlocked garage and removed property from the unlocked vehicle.

• An attempted residential burglary occurred in the 12800 block of Flack Street in Silver Spring, on Monday, 5/12 between 6:45 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Attempted forced entry, nothing taken.

• Thefts from vehicles. On two consecutive nights, Wednesday night and Thursday night, 5/7 and 5/8, at least six vehicles were broken into and one vehicle was stolen in the area of Chesterfield Road, Levada Terrace, Chelmsford Road, and Miltfred Terrace in Rockville. The Chevrolet Suburban stolen from Levada Terrace was recovered. Loose property was taken in the thefts from vehicles.


L1 Beat:

• A strong-arm robbery (purse snatch) occurred in the 2000 block of Georgian Woods Place in Silver Spring, on Monday, 5/12 at 11:20 a.m. The suspect, B/M 25-26, 5’8”, 150 lbs, cornrows, mustache and beard, wrestled the purse away from an adult female victim.

• A strong-arm robbery occurred in the area of Georgia Avenue and Parker Avenue in Silver Spring, on Monday, 5/12 at 10:00 p.m. The suspect, Hispanic male, 20-30, 5’10”, thin build, took the adult female victim’s cell phone.

• A residential burglary occurred in the 12300 Block of Dalewood Drive in Silver Spring, on Tuesday, 5/6 between 6:00 p.m. and 11:30 p.m. Forced entry, property taken.

• Several thefts from vehicles occurred in the Kemp Mill Community in Silver Spring, overnight Tuesday, 5/6 into Wednesday, 5/7 between 1:00 a.m. and 7:00 a.m. Property was taken from at least 15 vehicles. All but one vehicle was unlocked.


L2 Beat:

• A commercial armed robbery occurred at the Allante Financial located at 11240 Georgia Avenue in Silver Spring, on Sunday, 5/11 at 10:54 a.m. The suspects. Two black males, 25-29, entered the establishment displaying a handgun. Cash was taken.

• An attempted residential burglary occurred in the 10600 block if Glenhaven Drive in Silver Spring, on Saturday, 5/10 between 1:45 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. Attempted forced entry, nothing taken.
