Comcast Successfully Completes High-Speed “FiberNet” System, Satisfying C

Comcast has successfully installed the last of the 100 fiber optic connections that it was required to provide as part of its cable television franchise agreement with Montgomery County. The County’s high-speed fiber network, named “FiberNet,” will provide high-speed data, voice and video communications to more than 255 public facilities, and will serve all six public agencies, including Montgomery County Public Schools, Montgomery College, the County government, Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission, Housing Opportunities Commission, Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission and the courts.
