Holiday Hours Announced for County Disposal/Recycling Sites
The Public Unloading Facility and Recycling Drop-off at the County’s Transfer Station, at Route 355 and Shady Grove Rd. in Derwood, will close at 5 p.m. on December 24 and December 31. Regular hours will resume on December 26 and January 2. Beauty Spots The County’s solid waste drop-off sites, known as “Beauty Spots,” located in Damascus and Poolesville, will be closed on the weekend before Christmas, December 22 and 23. The sites will be open, however, on the following weekend, December 29 and 30.
